Reichard Announces Grant to Spur on Economic Growth
May 6, 2025
HARRISBURG – The Franklin County Area Development Corporation (FCADC) received a $4.6 million grant through the PA SITES (Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites) program to help build out a site for advanced manufacturing, Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) announced.
“The FCADC is honored to be awarded $4.6 million in PA Sites funding, a transformational investment that will catalyze the full development of the remaining 20.5 acres at the Wharf Road Industrial Park. This support marks a critical step forward in advancing our region’s industrial capacity and economic vitality. We are especially grateful to Representative Reichard, whose steadfast advocacy and leadership were instrumental in securing this funding and turning vision into reality,” said Mike Ross, president of the FCADC.
The $4,613,046 grant will be used to subdivide a 20.5-acre parcel in the Wharf Road Industrial Park in Washington Township into three lots and provide the necessary utilities and site prep for advanced manufacturing.
“This grant funding will assist our communities with spurring on economic growth by attracting businesses and jobs to Franklin County. We are blessed with a strong workforce here and this investment compliments that,” Reichard said. “I want to thank the FCADC for identifying this need and working to expand a strong employment opportunity. I also applaud the PA SITES officials for recognizing the importance of this project and the benefits it will bring to our communities.”
The PA SITES program directs funding to build shovel-ready industrial sites across the Commonwealth to attract businesses, investment and good-paying jobs to Pennsylvania.
