Reichard Secures More Than $775,000 for Safer Schools

WAYNESBORO – Schools in the 90th Legislative District received $775,429 in funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee (SSC) to improve safety for students, Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) announced.
“I’m pleased to see our districts being proactive in promoting safety for children who attend our schools,” Reichard said. “This funding will assist districts with improving security for students so that they can learn in safe environments.”
School districts in the 90th Legislative District to receive grants are:
• Franklin County Career and Technology Center: $70,000.
• Greencastle-Antrim School District: $224,239.
• Tuscarora School District: $196,110.
• Waynesboro Area School District: $285,080.
The PCCD’s School Safety and Security Committee awards grants to schools and organizations across Pennsylvania to improve safety measures and provide essential mental health services for students and staff.
