Reichard to Host Community-Improvement Tax Credit Workshop
March 9, 2026
WAYNESBORO – Area business owners are invited to attend a workshop hosted by Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) on Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program, a tax credit program that benefits the community.
The workshop will be held at the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce, 118 Walnut St., #111, Waynesboro, on Friday, March 20, from 1-3 p.m. Madra Clay, the central regional director with the Department of Economic and Community Development (DCED), will lead the discussion.
Attendees will learn about the tax credit program that incentivizes businesses to contribute to charitable non-profit organizations by offering a tax credit for their contributions. A tax credit of up to 65% can be awarded.
“Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program is a great opportunity for businesses to support projects that strengthen our communities while also receiving a meaningful tax credit,” Reichard said. “This workshop will help local business owners better understand how the program works and how they can partner with nonprofits to invest in initiatives that make a real difference in our neighborhoods.”
A project eligible to receive funds through the program must serve distressed areas or support neighborhood conservation. Projects must fall under one of the following categories: affordable housing programs, community services, crime prevention, education, job training or neighborhood assistance.
To register, call Reichard’s office at 717-749-7384, or email jpeters@pahousegop.com.
