Reichard Offers Assistance with Property Tax/Rent Rebate Forms

WAYNESBORO – To better assist qualifying residents with completing Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) is offering expanded opportunities at his district office. 

Appointments can be made for any Monday, except holidays, starting Jan.26.  Each appointment, which can be made by calling Reichard’s office at 717-749-7384, lasts roughly 30 minutes.

“My staff and I assist countless residents with completing rebate applications each year and this new initiative will help expedite the process for residents through a more streamlined process,” Reichard said. “If an appointment on a Monday doesn’t work for residents, we are happy to meet anytime during normal business hours throughout the week.” 

Residents should bring their 2025 income documents, a completed rent certificate or paid property tax receipts, and government ID.
Income limits for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program have increased to $48,110 and the maximum rebate increased to $1,000 for homeowners and renters. Residents should exclude 50% of Social Security when determining income. The program is open to residents age 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older.

“I want to remind residents that they should never pay someone to complete the applications. My office can do it at no charge,” Reichard said.
