Reichard to Host Property Tax, Rent Rebate Clinic

December 2, 2025

WAYNESBORO – With the deadline to apply for Pennsylvania’s Property Tax, Rent Rebate program for tax year 2024 fast approaching, Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) will host a clinic to assist residents with submitting applications. Residents who have not yet applied are encouraged to come to his office in Waynesboro, located at 1402 E. Main St., from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, to receive assistance.

“I strongly encourage residents who are eligible for a rebate to apply. To make it easier, my staff and I have set up a day to focus on helping residents with applications,” Reichard said. “Residents who are unable to come on Dec. 19 can certainly stop by my office during normal business hours at their convenience to receive assistance.”

The program benefits Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. Eligibility and approval for payments is determined by the Department of Revenue.

Residents wanting to apply must bring proof of age, such as a driver’s license or birth certificate; proof of income and proof of property taxes or rent paid. For homeowners, this should be tax bills for 2024. Renters must bring a rent certificate completed by the landlord or authorized agent, or if the landlord’s signature cannot be obtained, a rent certificate with the affidavit notarized.

This year’s income limit is $46,520 for homeowners and renters, with a maximum standard rebate of $1,000. Applicants can exclude half of their Social Security income and military benefits/pensions are not included for the income threshold. Eligible Pennsylvanians can apply through Dec. 31 for the 2024 rebate.
