Rep. Chad Reichard, who was raised in Franklin County, proudly serves his neighbors of the 90th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He was elected to be their voice in Harrisburg in 2024.

With strong roots in Franklin County, Chad is an advocate for farmers, farmland preservation and workforce development. He is a fiscal conservative who believes wasteful government spending must be eliminated and is a defender of firearm owner rights, medical freedom and parental rights in education.

Chad has a long history of working for the people and their communities. He was elected to serve on the Washington Township Board of Supervisors, including a stint as its chairman. He also was the township’s planning and zoning officer. 

While employed as a legislative director in the Pennsylvania Senate, Chad gained experience in state government. He went on to work in the United States House of Representatives as a district legislative director. 

Chad’s path to fulfilling his civil duties began when he was a student in the Waynesboro Area School District, where he developed a sense of giving back to his community. He went on to graduate from American University with a degree in business administration and furthered his education at Penn State University, earning a master’s degree in public administration with a certificate in public budgeting and finance.

Outside of work, Chad’s served his community through the Waynesboro Community & Human Services, Waynesboro Beneficial Fund, chairman of the Franklin County Council of Governments, Franklin County Farm Bureau, treasurer of the Franklin County Republican Committee and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

The 90th Legislative District covers parts of Franklin County, including Antrim, Montgomery, Peters, Quincy, Warren and Washington townships; and Greencastle, Mercersburg, Mont Alto, and Waynesboro.
